This lock was tested and developed in a S.W.A.T. training facility to stop forced entry on most home exterior doors (visit HillandLock.com for full video testing). Criminals are aware that homesteaders have valuable items, making the homestead a target during times of economic strain. It is our goal to help you prevent theft, and also protect the most valuable part of the homestead, your family.
This is a sliding deadbolt style lock system, made of heavy-duty steel, and Cerakoted with 3 optional color choices, black, oil rubbed bronze, or raw steel for a more rustic look. Designed to mount to your door frame and frame studs, using structural screws (included). The lock is a 3/4″ thick steel box with a 3/8″ thick steel sliding bar, the bar is threaded for a 1/2″ bolt, the bar is secured and released by twisting the bolt head (bolt head can be permanently fixed in place with Locktite if preferred). The lock includes (6x) 4 3/8″ structural screws, and 1x clear adhesive bumper pad. The lock is designed for indoor use only, and intended for extreme, heavy-duty protection from unwanted entry. The lock is not accessible from the outside and is not to be used on doors that open outward from the home.
Installation Tips:
- In most cases, a small section of your door trim must be removed for installation
- Pre-drilling and T-40 Torx Bit required
